Description

Variable-Speed Control for More Precise Jewelry Rolling

Form flat sheet, round wire, half-round wire and square wire with one powered rolling mill.

The Tooltos 4-in-1 Variable Speed Electric Jewelry Rolling Mill is designed for jewelers who need better control when reducing sheet and forming wire. Unlike a standard fixed-speed electric rolling mill, this model allows the operator to slow the rollers for first-pass alignment, narrow wire feeding and precision work, then increase the speed for repetitive passes and small-batch production.

Powered by a 550W electric motor, the machine reduces repetitive hand-cranking and provides a steadier material feed. Its combination rollers support four essential jewelry-forming operations while the synchronized adjustment system helps maintain a more even roller gap.

Variable Speed Control Slow down for alignment and delicate work, then increase speed for repeated production.
4-in-1 Roller Functions Process flat sheet, round wire, half-round wire and square wire.
550W Electric Drive Reduce manual effort and maintain steadier material feeding during repeated passes.
Synchronized Adjustment Three connected gears help keep both sides of the roller gap more even.

Why Variable Speed Matters

Different rolling operations do not require the same feeding speed. Narrow wire, short workpieces and first-pass positioning usually require more control, while longer material and repeated production can be processed more efficiently at a higher speed.

Adjustable speed helps reduce crooked feeding, missed wire grooves, poor alignment and unnecessary material waste. It also gives less experienced operators more time to position the workpiece correctly before increasing production speed.

Four Forming Functions

Flat Sheet
Reduce sheet thickness and prepare strip material for jewelry fabrication.
Round Wire
Form round profiles for rings, chains, connectors and decorative components.
Half-Round Wire
Produce profiles for rings, bracelets, bezels and trim.
Square Wire
Create square profiles for structural and decorative jewelry work.

Roller Sizes and Working Range

The combination rollers provide multiple groove sizes for common jewelry wire profiles, together with a flat section for sheet reduction.

  • Square grooves: 1 / 1.5 / 2 / 3 / 4 / 5 / 6 mm
  • Half-round grooves: 2 / 3 / 4 / 5 / 6 mm
  • Round grooves: 1.5 / 2 / 3 / 4 / 5 / 6 mm
  • Flat rolling width: 50 mm / 1.97 in

Groove sizes indicate nominal profile dimensions. Final dimensions may vary depending on material hardness, annealing condition, roller-gap setting and reduction process.

Three-Gear Synchronized Adjustment

The upper three-gear mechanism connects the roller adjustment points so both sides move together when the top T-handle is turned. This helps maintain a more even roller gap, reduce left-to-right thickness differences and improve repeatability between passes.

A movable position reference indicator can mark a previous roller-gap position, making it easier to return close to an earlier setting after pausing or adjusting the machine. Final thickness should still be checked with a caliper or micrometer.

Forward, Stop and Reverse Operation

The machine supports forward, stop and reverse control. Reverse operation can help withdraw incorrectly positioned material, correct the feeding direction or remove material after a controlled stop.

Important: Always stop the motor and wait until the rollers have completely stopped before changing between forward and reverse.

Suitable Applications

  • Goldsmith and silversmith workshops
  • Jewelry repair and fabrication studios
  • Ring and bracelet stock preparation
  • Sheet thickness reduction
  • Round, half-round and square wire forming
  • Jewelry schools and training workshops
  • Small-batch jewelry production

Suitable Materials

Designed for annealed, non-ferrous jewelry metals such as gold, silver, copper, brass, aluminum and similar soft alloys within the machine’s working capacity.

Not suitable for: steel, stainless steel, iron, hardened wire, hardened ferrous metals, hot rolling or forging applications.

How to Use

  1. Select the 110V or 220V version that matches your local power supply.
  2. Place the machine on a strong, level and load-bearing workbench.
  3. Choose the correct roller section for flat, round, half-round or square forming.
  4. Clean and anneal the metal before significant reduction.
  5. Open the roller gap slightly wider than the starting material thickness.
  6. Begin at a lower speed for alignment, narrow wire or short workpieces.
  7. Start the rollers before feeding the material straight and parallel.
  8. Reduce the material gradually through multiple light passes.
  9. Measure after each pass and re-anneal when necessary.
  10. Increase speed only after the material is feeding correctly and consistently.
