Description

The Tooltos Digital Vacuum Casting Machine reaches 1250°C with ±5°C digital temperature accuracy — melting gold, silver, copper, brass, and bronze in 30–50 minutes while vacuum technology eliminates air bubbles and porosity for flawless castings. Available with 1KG, 2KG, or 3KG graphite crucible options to match your production volume.

Key Features

  • 1250°C Maximum Temperature — Reaches full melting temperature in 30–50 minutes. Suitable for gold, silver, copper, brass, bronze, aluminum, and other metals with melting points below 1250°C.
  • ±5°C Digital Temperature Accuracy — Digital display with precise control for consistent, repeatable melting results.
  • Aviation-Grade Transparent Vacuum Hood — Thick plastic construction provides superior vacuum seal and full visibility of the casting process.
  • Accurate Pressure Gauge — Real-time vacuum pressure monitoring for optimal casting results.
  • Durable Black Steel Housing — Professional-grade construction built for daily workshop use.
  • 1KG / 2KG / 3KG Crucible Options — Select the crucible capacity that matches your typical casting volume at the time of purchase.
  • Universal Voltage — Available in 110V and 220V for worldwide use.

Crucible Size Selection Guide

Crucible Size Best For
1KG Small jewelry pieces, rings, pendants, earrings
2KG General use — most popular option for mixed jewelry production
3KG Larger pieces, batch melting, higher-volume casting runs

Casting Workflow Overview

  1. Prepare wax model — Create or obtain your wax model and attach sprues for metal flow.
  2. Investment casting — Place wax model in flask, pour investment plaster, and allow to cure.
  3. Burnout — Heat flask in a separate kiln to remove wax and create the casting cavity.
  4. Connect vacuum pump — Attach your 2L vacuum pump to the machine via the included hose.
  5. Melt metal — Place metal in graphite crucible, set temperature, and heat for 30–50 minutes until fully molten.
  6. Vacuum cast — Place hot flask on vacuum table, lower hood to create seal, activate vacuum pump, and pour molten metal.
  7. Cool and finish — Allow to cool, break away investment plaster, cut sprues, and polish.

Professional Tips

  • Do not exceed the metal's melting point by more than 50–100°C to avoid unnecessary crucible wear.
  • Rotate between 2–3 crucibles — allow 40–50 minutes between uses for continuous operation.
  • A minimum 2L capacity vacuum pump is required for proper vacuum performance.
  • Avoid high-impurity metals such as sand gold — they can damage the crucible.
  • Pour molten metal immediately after melting for best flow characteristics.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is a vacuum pump included?
No. A 2L capacity vacuum pump is required for operation and must be purchased separately. The Tooltos 4CFM 1/3HP Vacuum Pump is compatible.

What metals can I cast?
Gold, silver, copper, brass, bronze, aluminum, and any metal with a melting point below 1250°C. Avoid high-impurity metals. Platinum is not suitable — it melts at 1768°C, exceeding this machine's maximum.

How long does melting take?
Typically 30–50 minutes depending on metal type and quantity.

Can I do continuous casting?
Yes, with multiple crucibles. Allow 40–50 minutes between casts per crucible. Having 2–3 crucibles to rotate enables continuous operation.

Which crucible size should I choose?
1KG for small jewelry, 2KG for general use (most popular), 3KG for larger pieces or batch melting.

Which voltage should I select?
110V for USA and Canada. 220V for Europe, UK, Australia, and most of Asia.
