Casting Workflow Overview

1. Prepare wax model — Create or obtain your wax model and attach sprues for metal flow.
2. Investment casting — Place wax model in flask, pour investment plaster, and allow to cure.
3. Burnout — Heat flask in a separate burnout furnace to remove wax and create the casting cavity.
4. Connect vacuum pump — Attach your vacuum pump (min. 2L, purchased separately) to the machine via the included hose.
5. Melt metal — Place metal in graphite crucible, set temperature, and heat for 30–50 minutes until fully molten.
6. Vacuum cast — Place hot flask on vacuum table, lower hood to create seal, activate vacuum pump, and pour molten metal.
7. Cool and finish — Allow to cool, break away investment plaster, cut sprues, and polish.

Professional Tips

• The factory default temperature is 1050°C — work at or near this setting based on your metal's melting point. Avoid raising the temperature unnecessarily; higher temperatures accelerate heating element wear and significantly shorten its service life.
• This machine has a temperature overshoot characteristic — the actual chamber temperature may run 50–100°C higher than the displayed set value. Account for this margin when setting your working temperature to avoid overheating the heating element.
• After each casting cycle, switch off the machine and allow it to cool completely to room temperature before starting the next cycle. Do not judge cooling by the exterior surface temperature — use the digital display as reference. This machine is designed for single-cycle intermittent operation, not continuous multi-cast runs.
• Avoid high-impurity metals such as sand gold — they can damage the graphite crucible.
• Pour molten metal immediately after melting for best flow characteristics.
• A minimum 2L capacity vacuum pump is required for proper vacuum performance.

What metals can I cast?
Gold, silver, copper, brass, bronze, aluminum, and any metal with a melting point below 1250°C. Avoid high-impurity metals. Platinum is not suitable — it melts at 1768°C, exceeding this machine's maximum rated temperature.

Do I need a burnout furnace?
Yes, if you are doing lost wax casting. A separate burnout furnace is required to burn out the wax before casting. It is not included with this machine.

How long does melting take?
Typically 30–50 minutes depending on metal type and quantity.

Can I do continuous casting?
No. This machine must cool completely to room temperature between casting cycles. It is designed for single-cycle intermittent operation. Forcing consecutive casts without full cooling will damage the heating element and internal components.
