2. Test a spare piece of thread to confirm that it melts suitably.
3. Position the excess thread clear of skin, beads and heat-sensitive components.
4. Activate the tool as instructed and carefully contact the unwanted thread end with the heated tip.
5. Allow the thread end to cool, then inspect the finish and knot security.
6. Deactivate the tool. Let the heating element cool completely before replacing the cap and storing it.
